There are cancer warning signs that you could be looking out for when you sit down for your meal.

Currently medicine counts more than 200 types of cancer, and some have more clear symptoms than others, reports the Mirror. Among those can be symptoms you could notice when you eat food.

Cancer charity Macmillan said several general symptoms can be picked up as you eat. One is loss of appetite.

Should you find yourself not eating as much as usual, or getting full up more quickly, it could be worth having a chat with your GP.

Another warning sign to watch out for is if you have difficulty swallowing, chewing, or feeling like you have something stuck in your throat. And if you find yourself developing indigestion or heartburn lasting for over three weeks, that could also be a warning sign.

Macmillan says dinner time is an important time of the day to look out for problems. It also reccomends speaking with your doctor if you suffer from a bloated or swollen stomach.

Especially if it happens regularly or lasts a long time. Bloating is a symptom of many conditions, but is also seen in some kinds of cancer, like the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or peritoneum.

It also recommends looking out for changes in your bowel movements. Loose or runny poo, hard poo, needing to go more often, or blood should all raise the alarm.
