Carol Vorderman has revealed she thinks she had Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) due to a lack of exposure to the sun.
The TV presenter, 61, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday and said she now felt like a ‘new woman’.
Carol then speculated she may have come down with SAD, a type of depression that comes and goes, because she got such little sunlight in December.

However, the Countdown star was clearly in good spirits in the clip as she told how she was back at home in Wales for a few days.
She said: ‘Hope you’re well my lovelies. I feel like a new woman. I think I was suffering from that season affect disorder you know SAD, because of lack of light because it never got light during December.
‘Anyway, a few days in Wales, boom! She’s back.’
SAD is sometimes known as a ‘winter depression’ becomes the symptoms are often more noticeable then.

Symptoms of SAD include a persistent low mood, loss of pleasure in everyday activities and feeling lethargic and sleepy during the day.
It comes after Carol recently called herself ‘naive’ after she shared her shock at how an Instagram filter altered her appearance.
The presenter shared an edited photo she took and said she was ‘shocked’ at the difference the app could make.
Alongside the post, she wrote: ‘Omg I’m shocked….this is the first time I’ve ever tried a filter…..

Influencer Danae Mercer commented on the post and wrote: ‘It’s horrible what it does.’
Carol then replied: ‘I took the particular filter from a post today by someone young and famous… I genuinely had no idea…’
Responding to singer Imelda May who told Carol she doesn’t need a filter, she said: ‘So weird isn’t it? Genuinely shocked…
‘I just [saw] someone young and famous who I like following using this filter so I thought… oh I’ll try it… bloody hell… I had no idea it’s all such complete nonsense… wow.’
