She also used the formula to clean and polish her stainless steel kitchen gadget, including her toaster and coffee machine.

Despite her tips, many warned against using fabric softener on beds and sofas.
‘Definitely not using that fabric softener. It is so toxic and contributes to many rashes, asthma and allergy issues,’ one wrote.
While another added: ‘Fabric softener has chemicals in it that are highly flammable and doesn’t evaporate… Add rubbing alcohol to that and you have a serious fire hazard.’
Professional cleaner Kaycie, from Melbourne, issued an urgent warning on TikTok about people using fabric softener as an ‘air freshener’ around their homes.
‘This is not what they’re designed for. All that chemical you’re spraying is settling on the fabric of your couch, carpet and even your walls,’ she said.
‘It’s creating a sticky residue that only attracts dirt and dust, making it look worse faster. And it contains alcohol – a highly flammable liquid that you are spraying everywhere and not washing off.’
