CARRIE Underwood has come a long way since making her debut on American Idol.
The country music superstar has taken the world by storm with her nine studio albums over the last two decades.
Born on March 10, 1983, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Carrie, 41, was raised on her parent’s farm with her two sisters: Shanna and Stephanie.
As a teenager, she sang at local talent shows, events, and churches.
When she was 14, she auditioned for Capitol Records, which would give her a contract, but ultimately was let go due to company changes.
The singer competed in several beauty pageants at Northeastern State University where she was the runner-up in 2004.
AMERICAN IDOL
When she was 21 years old, she auditioned in front of judges Simon Cowell, 64, Randy Jackson, 67, and Paula Abdul, 61, for American Idol.
During the fourth season, the reality TV show stopped in St. Louis, Missouri to look for America’s next superstar.
As she walked into the audition room, Carrie wore a pink shirt, and jeans, and was dying to go to Hollywood.
She sang I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt and all three judges said yes.
By the end of the season, it was between Carrie and Bo Bice.
After a dramatic pause from host Ryan Seacrest, 49, it was revealed that Carrie had won the show.
ALBUM RELEASES
On November 15, 2005, Carrie released her debut album, Some Hearts which featured singles including Before He Cheats and Jesus, Take The Wheel.
Some Hearts won several Billboard Music Awards including Album of the Year and Favorite Country Album in 2006.
In 2009, the album won Country Album of the Decade at the prestigious award show.
Since the release of Some Hearts, Carrie has released eight other albums: Carnival Ride (2007), Play On (2009), Blown Away (2012), Storyteller (2015), Cry Pretty (2018), My Gift (2020), and My Savior (2021).

The American Idol winner had relationships with Chace Crawford and Tony Romo but she ultimately walked down the aisle with Mike Fisher.
Mike is a Canadian retired hockey player from Peterborough, Ontario.
In October 1999, Fisher made his NHL debut with the Ottawa Senators.
He played for the Senators until he was traded to the Nashville Predators.
One of the reasons he agreed to the trade was so he could be close to his wife Carrie.
On December 20, 2009, Carrie and her former hockey captain hubby announced their engagement.
On July 10, 2010, Carrie Underwood and Mike tied the knot after almost two years of dating.
More than 250 people were in attendance at their wedding ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge in Greensboro, Georgia.
Carrie’s engagement ring from Mike features a yellow diamond and was valued at $150K.
In February 2015, the couple welcomed their first child; a son named Isaiah.
In January 2019, the singer and the pro athlete expanded their family further with the birth of their second son Jacob.

GRAMMY WINS
In 2006, Carrie won her very first Grammy at the 49th Award Show for Best New Artist and Best Female Vocal Country Performance for Jesus, Take The Wheel.
She also made her debut Grammy performance at the show with the Rascal Flatts.
Throughout her music career, she has been nominated 16 times with eight wins under her belt.
Her most recent win was in 2022 when she won Best Roots Gospel Album for My Savior.
HER LEGACY
Carrie also has 16 Academy of Country Music Awards, 12 Billboard Music Awards, seventeen American Music Awards, five CMT Artist of the Year awards, and twenty-three CMT Awards.
In 2014, Rolling Stone called Carrie the female vocalist of her generation of any genre.
That same year, Carrie was featured in Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People In The World with country artist Brad Paisley, 51, giving her nothing but praise.
“Not only has she earned her place, she’s also raised the bar: she’s a prolific songwriter, a trendsetter, and an Opry member,” he said.
Carrie also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that she received in 2018.
VEGAS RESIDENCY
In 2021, Carrie revealed that she would be getting her own residency called Reflection in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Resorts World Las Vegas.
Due to high demand, Carrie kept adding dates to keep fans happy.
Last September, she revealed that she was continuing with her residency and encouraged people to buy tickets.
Dates range from May to October of this year.
