CHARLI XCX and Emma Corrin will have their very own Halloween ghost story to tell today after getting the willies at a stately home.
The pair were on set for their new film, 100 Nights Of Hero.
They and the production team were totally freaked out by some spooky happenings in the Grade II-listed Knebworth House in Hertfordshire.
A film insider told me: “Charli and Emma were both a bit jumpy during filming for 100 Nights Of Hero because it felt like they were alone.
“But as the cameras began rolling, all sorts of weird things started to happen.
“Sound recording equipment mysteriously malfunctioned and started cutting out and picking up distorted noises when no one was speaking.
“The cameras were also affected and started flickering on and off without warning.
“When they looked back, some of the footage came out blurred, despite the conditions being perfect.
“It felt as though something — or someone — was toying with the equipment because the glitches defied any logical explanation.
“It was creepy as hell.”
According to historians, two ghosts are regularly seen at Knebworth, which is famed for its massive outdoor concerts, with acts including Oasis and Robbie Williams.
One spirit is a woman called “Spinning Jenny”, who got a bit handsy with a toff who lived in the house and was locked away in a room to keep her from him.
The second is supposedly a “radiant boy” who was seen in a room by a 19th-century guest, Lord Castlereagh.
The peer took his own life a few years after encountering the ghostly figure.
People who say they have seen the boy claim he appears in front of you before drawing his fingers across his throat.
Hopefully for Charli and Emma, this isn’t foretelling the fate of their new film at the box office.
Pulling a blank
A ONE-hit wonder was once pretty rude to the Bizarre team at a Halloween party while riding high in the charts.
Blank Blank clearly thought their fame would last, but that wasn’t the case.
This week we see they are now giving away tickets on a seat-filling website for their show in London because nobody wants to go.
Remember to be nice to people on your way up – as you’ll meet them on your way down.
Moss is boss
LOTTIE MOSS sang her heart out at the VIP relaunch of Karaoke Box’s flagship venue in East London.
The model’s tights may have seen better days, but she was on song while partying at the event with her friends.
Like her half-sister Kate, who sang on Primal Scream’s cover of Some Velvet Morning in 2002, Lottie appears to have a good set of pipes on her.
So if OnlyFans fizzles out, there could be a new career beckoning.
Sophie U-Turner
SOPHIE TURNER has more than got her mojo back.
The Game Of Thrones actress is locked in a bitter split from boyband star Joe Jonas.
But her smile has returned thanks to a slew of huge new acting projects and a very handsome boyfriend, Peregrine Pearson.
“We’re very happy,” Sophie told Harper’s Bazaar as she posed for the cover of its November issue, on sale next Wednesday.
“It came around very quickly.
“I just needed to go on a date to know how to do it again.
“That was the first date and the last date, and it’s been great.
“He’s lovely.
“He’s funny and he brings out the cheeky side of me, the fun side.
“He lights me back up.”
Sophie will be handed the Performance award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday.
As well as promoting her new ITV drama series Joan, Sophie talked about working on new psychological thriller Trust, in which she takes on the role of an actress caught up in an internet scandal.
Touching on her split from Joe, Sophie added: “That one really mirrored my life from this past year, and it was a very cathartic experience for me.
“It was a chance to let out some serious anger, which was fun.”
If I was Joe, I would take cover now.

Saoirse: Reaction ‘wild’
SAOIRSE RONAN went viral over the weekend after she shut down Paul Mescal on The Graham Norton Show.
The actress stunned Paul and fellow guests Eddie Redmayne and Denzel Washington into silence with her comment about gender-based violence against women.
Responding to a joke made by Paul, Saoirse said that women had to think about how they can stay safe from attack “all the time”.
On Ryan Tubridy’s Virgin Radio show yesterday, Saoirse said she didn’t think her words would have so much impact.
“The reaction has been wild,” she said.
“I didn’t necessarily set out to sort of make a splash. But I do think there’s something really telling about the society we’re in right now, and about how open women want to be with the men in their lives.
“With Paul being one of my very dear friends, I have had conversations like that with him before and he completely gets that and completely understands that. The fact there was a moment like that on a show like Graham Norton, it’s something people tune into.
“It seems to have had an accessibility which seems to have really gained traction, which I think is amazing.
“It’s opening a conversation and again, hopefully it’s allowing more and more women to actually be like, ‘Let’s talk about our experience’.”
Fab year for The Beatles
THE BEATLES’ Apple Corps company turned over almost £1million a week last year.
The earnings were boosted by the success of single Now And Then, which went straight to No1 after it was released in November.
As well as turning over more than £46million, the Fab Four – Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and the late John Lennon and George Harrison – made over £6million in profits alone.
I revealed last month the group, above, had a new Disney+ documentary coming out and last week they confirmed my tale – announcing Beatles ’64 is out on November 29.
Director Sam Mendes is also working on four biopics about the group, with Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn taking on the role of George.
It’s going to be a bumper 2025 for The Beatles.
Pets at Pop Pioneers
PET SHOP BOYS will perform with the Manchester Camerata orchestra at the MTV EMAs, as they receive the inaugural Pop Pioneers Award.
The duo have been added to the line-up for the ceremony at Manchester’s Co-op Live on November 10 alongside acts including Tyla, K-pop group Le Sserafim and the Mexican singer Peso Pluma.
Zoe love on blink
JUST eight weeks ago, Channing Tatum told Zoe Kravitz: “I got you for ever.”
But that sweet sentiment has aged like milk, as the pair ended their engagement and called it quits after three years.
Channing and Zoe started dating after they met on the set of her directorial debut Blink Twice, and went on to become one of my favourite Hollywood couples.
The pair were last spotted together at the start of the month when they watched a play, Picture Day, in New York.
People magazine in the US reported the split yesterday and given their great track record on celebrity splits, I’m inclined to believe it’s true.
Channing and Zoe have just signed on to star in new film Alpha Gang, which starts filming next year.
That green-room small talk is going to be awkward.
