CHRIS Evans left fans amazed by his very different appearance at the premiere of his new film.
The 43-year-old is beloved for his portrayal of superhero Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
At the premiere of his festive movie Red One, the star sported long hair and a beard.
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their reactions to Chris’ new look.
One person wrote: “The way I didn’t even recognise Chris Evans because of his thick a** beard and long brown hair, that’s not my captain america.”
Another added: “Chris Evans with that fluffy hair and beard and glasses…marriage is looking fantastic on you.”
A Christmas action comedy film, Red One follows a crisis at the North Pole when Santa Claus (JK Simmons) is kidnapped.
It means head of security Callum Drift (Dwayne Johnson) and bounty hunter Jack O’Malley (Chris Evans) team up to find and rescue him.
Meanwhile, Chris first played Captain America in 2011 movie The First Avenger.
He reprised the iconic role in a further ten MCU films, most recently in 2019.
The actor already played a Marvel superhero before picking up Captain America’s shield.
Chris starred as Johnny Storm – aka The Human Torch – in two Fantastic Four movies, in 2005 and 2007.

Almost two decades later, he returned to the character in 2024’s Deadpool and Wolverine.
While Chris officially lost his bachelor status last year by tying the knot with Alba Baptista.
They had first sparked dating rumors all the way back in 2021.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed Alba followed the Hollywood star and some of his family members on social media.
At the beginning of 2022, fans got their first real sign of romance when they attended a ski trip together.
By November 2022, Chris was publicly liking Alba’s Instagram posts.
Prior to marrying in an intimate ceremony, the couple had been together for over a year.
Marvel co-stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner were all reported to be in attendance.
