The shocking murder of Candace Hiltz happened in August 2006. Her killer was never found.
Candace had got into an argument with Deputy Robert Dodd before she died. Reports suggest that she was threatened for days.
On August 15, Candace’s mother Dolores discovered her dead body under the bed. She was wrapped in a green comforter.
Forensic revealed, Candace Hiltz was shot multiple times in her head. Moreover, the investigation was done poorly to find her murderer.
The official autopsy result finally showed multiple errors in the case. Eventually, a series of speculation was made, although there are no signs of the killer.
In 2018, Deputy Robert Dodd was charged with the count of public abuse. He is suspected to have killed Hiltz with a shotgun.
However, in 2019, Dodd’s charges were upheld after he filed an appeal for his convictions. Candace Hiltz’s killer has been unidentified to this day.
