When it overturned the Roe v. Wade decision last week, the US Supreme Court eliminated the right to an abortion for everyone nationally. According to Kruger, it is unclear why the US is being lectured about a ruling that would place the power of decision-making over this political issue in the hands of the states’ democratic decision-makers rather than the judiciary.
Stella Creasy, a Labour MP, told Kruger that abortion was “really a human rights issue for many of us.” Following the Supreme Court’s decision, each US state is now free to outlaw abortion if they so want.
For his statement, people are commenting back on social media. One wrote, “the body of any woman, is not a ‘proper topic for political debate’. Your comments are utterly reprehensible, shameful, and inexcusable. I am furious that you—an MP elected to represent all your constituents well—had the gall to say this in the Commons.”

On November 9, 2019, Kruger was chosen as a parliamentary candidate for Devizes, a safe Conservative seat. He posted numerous tweets in favor of Dominic Cummings and Mary Wakefield’s alleged lockdown violation in May 2020, referring to them as, “old pals.”
