COMEDIAN Dave Chappelle delivered a controversial SNL monologue – mocking Donald Trump and P Diddy last night.

The US stand-up comic, 51, returned to the late night sketch show less than 48 hours before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Funnyman Dave kicked off his speech by discussing the Los Angeles wildfire theories, before moving on to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “freak offs”, and taking a swipe at “petty” Trump – urging him to “not forget your humanity.”

“The presidency is no place for petty people,” Dave said.

“Donald Trump, I know you watch the show.

“Man, remember whether people voted for you or not, they’re all counting on you. Whether they like you or not, they’re all counting on you. The whole world is counting on you.

“I mean this when I say this: Good luck. Please do better next time. Please all of us, do better next time.

“Do not forget your humanity and please have empathy for displaced people, whether they’re in the Palisades or Palestine.”

In a 17-minute monologue, Dave joked that he was “tired of being controversial” and hoping to “turn over a new leaf” – but said the only reason he agreed to host SNL again was to revisit old Trump jokes.

He then turned his attention to the wildfire tragedy in Los Angeles and admitted it was “too soon” to make jokes about it.

“The moment I said yes, L.A. burst into flames. And it’s a tough one, you know what I mean, because I’m tired of being controversial, I’m trying to turn over a new leaf,” he said while smoking a cigarette.

“And it is way too soon to be doing jokes about a catastrophe like that.”

He noted that the wildfires were the most expensive natural disaster in U.S. history: “Because people in L.A. have nice stuff. I could burn 40,000 acres in Mississippi for like 6 to 700 dollars.”

Discussing the various conspiracy theories, Dave continued: “There’s just too many factors. If you were a rational-thinking person, you have to at least consider the possibility that God hates these people. Sodomites!

“But that’s not true because West Hollywood was unscathed, because how can you burn what is already flaming?”

He also addressed Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old accused of assassinating UnitedHealthcare’s CEO Brian Thompson.

Dave continued: “A lot of poor people were affected, too. A lot of these people found out the week of the fires that they lost their fire insurance. Luigi is like, ‘You’re welcome.’

He went on to say: “That kid [Luigi] did almost plan the perfect crime. Only thing he forgot was to shave his eyebrows.”

Dave also turned his attention to the Trump’s racist comments about Haitian immigrants.

He noted that Trump’s speculation that “they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats” made him “crazy.

Dave also suggested that the Haitians “did jobs the whites weren’t doing. It’s not that the whites couldn’t do these jobs but they were doing other things: heroin, sleeping on the streets.”

He also tried out some new material about P Diddy, who is currently facing sex-trafficking and racketeering charges.

Dave admitted he was never invited to one of Diddy’s “freak-offs”, saying: “I thought about it for a minute, I said, ‘Oh my God, I’m ugly. That was a tough way to find that out. Can you imagine if you were me, reading the newspaper and found out everyone in Hollywood had an orgy behind your back and nobody called me? Boy, that really hurts.”

Dave has been largely out of the spotlight for the past year.

In 2023, he sparked a walkout when he slammed Israel for its “war crimes” against Palestine during a show in Boston.

The controversial figure also came under fire by comedian and actress Michelle Buteau for his transgender jokes.
