In Alex’s interview with E! News, she reflected in a recent phone that her daughter, Ava, was running a high fever, and she was little.
The chef panicked and reacted, ” I was just standing in my apartment, and I’m like,’ Okay, so do I put her in the crib and leave her alone and get the medicine to help her fever? And risk leaving her alone?”
Further, she continued,” Or do I bundle her up and bring her out in the cold and risk making her even sicker to get the medicine for the fever? You know, like, ‘How do I. win here? How can I be a better parent?”
This was when Alex’s daughter was small as she mentioned ‘Crib.’ So this was about a long ago and isn’t a concerning matter as Ava is happy and healthy now.

Alex married Brandon Clark on April 29, 2007, and has a daughter, Ava Clark.

Brandon Clark and Alex met at New York’s Institute of Culinary Education in 2006 while Alex was teaching a fish class.
Ava was born in July 2007. However, the couple divorced and ended up things.
Later, Alex announced her engagement to chef Michael Castellon, a Chopped Winner. Michael has proposed to her on her birthday, but things didn’t work out between them, and in February 2022, they announced that the couple ended their engagement.

The 52-year-old graduated from Barnard College in 1991 with a degree in art history and worked in a restaurant called American place for one year.
Alex’s culinary experience started while watching her mother test various recipes at home, editing cookbooks.
The chef worked under Larry Forgione and then at various France, New York, and Los Angeles restaurants.
The professional chef chairs the Museum of Food and Drink’s Culinary Council.
