According to WebMD, eating breakfast can help kick-start a person’s metabolism by helping them burn calories throughout the day.

Many studies have linked eating breakfast to good health, including better memory and concentration, lower levels of LDL cholesterol, and lower chances of getting diabetes, heart disease and being overweight.

While there are numerous trials that found eating breakfast might not help with weight loss Sharon Zarabi, a registered dietitian and bariatric program director at Lenox Hill Hospital, revealed: “It’s not the breakfast, it’s what we’re eating for breakfast.”

“Breakfasts rich in fibre, protein, and healthy fats can help people feel full for longer, compared to meals high in refined carbohydrates.”
