Dr Michael Mosley often shares his weight loss tips with slimmers online as well as on television. He is the creator of The Fast 800 – a diet plan that helps people lose weight quickly.
Everyone loses weight at different speeds, but Dr Mosley explained that some dieters “have managed to shed two stone in just 10 weeks”.
And this is by following The Fast 800 diet.
This is unsurprising due to the fact that the diet was created specifically for “rapid weight loss”.
It is also the “most effective” method to lose weight, according to the nutrition expert, and involves making easy changes to one’s diet and lifestyle.

“Studies suggest it’s the amount of weight you lose in the first month that predicts the long-term success of losing weight.
“For this reason, The Fast 800 diet recommends doing two weeks of sticking to 800 calories a day, every day, to kick-start your weight loss.”
While sticking to 800 calories a day, Dr Mosley recommended spreading these out over two or three low-carb meals.

He also stressed that slimmers should “try to avoid snacking”.
These include foods such as vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds, potatoes, whole grains, herbs, spices, fish, seafood, and extra virgin olive oil.
Mediterranean ingredients are full of nutrients and keep the body feeling fuller for longer, which may lead to weight loss.
Once dieters have hit their weight loss goal, Dr Mosley advised moving on to The Way of Life maintenance programme, which also involves following a Mediterranean diet.
However, this time, slimmers can exercise portion control instead of calorie-counting.
Dr Mosley explained: “An easy way to do this is to double portion sizes of our low-calorie Fast 800 Easy recipes, or add extra protein to a dish, such as fish, chicken or meat, veg, or less-starchy carbs such as beans or lentils.
“However, try to maintain a diet that’s low in sugar and starchy carbohydrates, such as bread and pasta, to prevent the weight creeping back on,” he added.
“If you find your clothes start to feel a bit too tight, you know what to do.”
