If you’re eager to shed weight quickly and looking for an overnight solution, a recent TikTok trend might have the answer.

The social media platform has been buzzing with claims that drinking one simple concoction before bed can aid in fat-burning while you sleep. As incredulous as it sounds, users swear by its effectiveness.

One viral video by @meaganonline suggests a simple rice water blend not only aids weight loss but also stimulates hair growth and skin vitality. The claim hinges on the assertion that rice “unlocks and accelerates” fat burning.

According to the TikToker, all you’ll need is two cups of water and three tablespoons of rice. After boiling for 15 minutes and draining, she adds a pinch of salt.

The TikTok star @meaganonline cites a study noting that the starch found in rice helps to “inhibit fat accumulation”.

Moreover, rice water encourages good gut health and promotes hydration, reports Gloucestershire Live.

And the benefits don’t stop there; @meaganonline alleges curbing your appetite, boosting your metabolism, and enhancing your hair quality as additional advantages of this regimen.

To guide viewers, she consumes eight ounces of rice water enriched with a hormone-balancing powder just before bedtime. She labels this homemade elixir as “magic”, accrediting it for transforming her body.

Understandably, the video has created quite a stir, with many marvelling at the supposed plethora of benefits from rice water, with some in agreement about its efficiency.

One individual exclaimed: “14lb down in almost two weeks. My skin is glowing.” Another shared their success, stating: “Five days, lost five pounds.”

A third person also reported: “Day three and I’m 5lbs down. So far it’s working.”

However, not everyone was sold on the idea, with some expressing doubts. One sceptic revealed: “I’m sceptical about the method,” despite having seen some weight loss.

Queries and frustrations were raised by others attempting the method without success. One asked: “What am I doing wrong? I did the exact thing and nothing.”

Someone else remarked: “I’ve been on it for a week, but haven’t lost.”

The conversation didn’t stop there; many suggested their twists to the recipe. Some individuals prefer adding lime juice, while others skip boiling the rice altogether, hinting at the versatility of the rice concoction.

It’s crucial to remember that before embarking on any diet seen online, consulting a healthcare professional is key. They can provide tailored advice to ensure any lifestyle changes are made safely and healthily.
