The album is titled The Death of Slim Shady, which promises a new era of his music when it comes out this summer.

The rapper was in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, to celebrate the NFL Draft when it was announced.

He created an interesting announcement for the album by making it look like a commercial for a true crime television show.

The video started with a man in a long tan trench coat standing in the middle of the street on a foggy night.

Next to him was a message that read, “Next on… Detroit Murder Files.”

The man then started talking about Eminem like he was the murder victim on the show as clips of the performer flashed on the screen.

The video included a clip of rapper 50 Cent who said, “he’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath” while speaking to the camera like he was in a documentary.

50 Cent has been known to perform with the Venom singer and bring him out on stage during his concerts.

At the end of the announcement, a man hidden behind a blurred face to ensure anonymity said, “I knew it was just a matter of time for Slim.”

The man accidentally moved away from the pixelated blur to reveal it was Eminem.

Eminem releases surprise album Music To Be Murdered By sending fans into a frenzy

The Death of Slim Shady sounds like it will be the follow-up to his last album Music to Be Murdered By which came out in 2020.

This will be his 12th studio album after coming out with his first in 1996 – Infinite.

FANS OF MARSHAL

Eminem’s fans came out with full support on social media immediately after the album was announced.

One said, “The best rapper is here to save us this year. I will be ok again, it just takes time.”

A third said, “THE DEATH OF SLIM SHADY? I’M ABOUT TO CRY,” with crying emojis.

“That Ending Was Hilarious (This Album Gonna Be AMAZING),” commented a fan.

A fifth mentioned, “But Slim Shady is his best ego I hope the whole album is Slim Shady.”

“Ngl tho, I feel like if the album is called The Death of Slim Shady it might have some Shady songs,” wrote a sixth.

While all of his fans are excited to hear the new music, it’s clear some listeners want the original Slim Shady to please stand up on the album.
