EMINEM has mentioned two controversial names in the entertainment industry in his new album.
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) was released on July 12, and the rap music star didn’t hold back.
Eminem, 51, is widely known for his unique and blatant lyrics and his alter ego, Slim Shady, whom he introduced to the world in the late 90s.
As fans listened to his twelfth studio album, many noticed a few mentions of well-known celebrities.
In the eighth song called Antichrist, Enimem talks about Kanye West, 47, also known as Ye, and Sean Diddy Combs.
Earlier in the song, The Real Slim Shady rapper talks about Ye “going off the deep end.”
Eminem continued talking about Ye in the sixteenth track called Bad Ones.
Nearing the end of the song, Eminem rapped, “Brain is dead, space cadet / Like when Ye forgets to take his meds.”
Over the past few years, Kanye has been at the center of several controversies including his social media rants and lawsuits.
NOT HOLDING BACK
The rapper name-drops Diddy in Antichrist and mentions the 2016 hotel hallway footage of the disturbing incident between him and his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
The lyrics included claims that the “next idiot” to ask Eminem “why can’t he be nice” will “get his a** beat worse than Diddy did ****.”
Cassie’s name was not mentioned in the verse.
Just a few days after the footage was put online, both Cassie and Diddy put out statements.
IN THEIR WORDS
In her statement, Cassie said she is still recovering from what she experienced, “Thank you for all the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet.
“The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning. Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.
