Police are requesting help from the public after a pub brawl left a young woman knocked to the ground and two others injured.

Footage of the wild fight that took place in a popular pub in Adelaide, South Australia, has been released in an attempt to help identify the culprits.

The fight is believed to have started after a verbal altercation upstairs at the Strathmore Hotel, where it then spilled over outside.

Senior Constable Samuel Thorpe of the South Australian Police said that ‘alcohol was a factor in this incident’.

The confronting video shows men wrestling, punching, kicking and putting each other in headlocks. More than one of those involved is seen using a chair as a weapon.

A young blonde woman is seen intervening between two groups of men trying to diffuse the violence but is knocked to the ground by a man trying to kick another patron.

The woman is seen laying on the pub floor as the fight continues above her.

Brigid Koenig, an anti-violence campaigner from the Sammy D Foundation, told Nine News Adelaide she was concerned for those who watched the events unfold.

‘It’s absolutely disgusting, these people are grown individuals and they should know better,’ Ms Koenig said.

‘There were kids around, there were other bystanders watching this. They’ll be impacted by this and will continue to be thinking about it.’

The incident, which occurred last November, continues to be actively investigated by police but arrests are yet to be made.

Police have said that most of the people shown in the video are innocent bystanders but would like to speak to any witnesses who have yet to contact them.

They are hoping that the fresh appeal will prompt someone to come forward and identify the main aggressors.

Detectives would like to speak to two men who left on foot and caught a taxi from Morphett St to Glenelg after the fight ended.

‘Police won’t tolerate this kind of behaviour occurring within licensed venues. People have a right to feel safe within these venues in the CBD,’ Senior Constable Thorpe said.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
