The boss of a young model who mysteriously vanished 27 years ago has been arrested on unrelated charges as police reinvestigate her disappearance.
Revelle Balmain, 22, had been working as a part-time escort at the time she was last seen in Kingsford, in Sydney’s east on November, 5, 1994.
Zoran Stanojevic, 63, who once owned one of the escort services she worked at, was one of five men arrested in Sydney on Thursday in relation to an alleged Serbian crime syndicate.
Police raided properties in Randwick, Maroubra and Surry Hills where they found 102 cannabis plants and 8kg of dried cannabis – both estimated to be worth $400,000.

These included designer handbags, clothes, shoes, watches and high-end wines and spirits.
The five men aged between 50 and 65 were all arrested and charged with multiple offences and are due to appear in court on Friday.
Stanojevic was hit with 36 offences including shoplifting, cultivating cannabis and dealing with property proceeds of crime and participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity.

A $1million reward has been offered for information into Ms Balmain’s disappearance
Following her disappearance, Ms Balmain’s make-up bag, keys and her shoe were found scattered near Ainslie Street.
She was reported missing later that evening and has not been seen or heard from since.
Despite extensive investigations by police at the time and over the years, no one has been charged in relation to her disappearance and in May a $1 million reward was announced for information about her fate.
A coronial Inquest in 1999 found that Ms Balmain had died at the hands of a person or persons unknown and the matter was referred to the Unsolved Homicide Unit.
On the night she vanished, the 22-year-old was due to meet Stanojevic and two of his friends at a hotel but she never arrived.
It is not suggested Stanojevic was involved in her disappearance or suspected murder.
Forensic officers this week searched a room of the hotel, Ms Balmain’s apartment and the building the escort service was run out of in the hopes to uncover what happened to the young woman.
