FRAN Drescher has left fans drooling with the plunging red dress she donned for the Screen Actors Guide Awards.
The Nanny star, who is also the acting Sag-Aftra president, shared the pre-award show photos on her Instagram account.
In the snapshots, Fran, 66, truly was “the flashy girl from Flushing” as she posed inside the hallway of her home in the sparkling, crimson-colored gown.
The Emmy-nominated actress showed off her cleavage and curves in the plunging, form-fitting dress.
The age-defying beauty rested her hand on her hip and flaunted her legs through the see-through, lace slit of the glittering gown.
Fran channeled Old Hollywood glamour with her dark brunette locks styled into a free-flowing, pompadour-esque hairdo that still managed to show off her famous widow’s peak.
The Happily Divorced star included a photo with her styling team as well as a car snapshot with her ex-husband, producing partner, and still close friend, Peter Marc Jacobson, on their way to the 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Fran captioned the post, “We’re on our way! Tonight on @netflix the @sagawards.”
In the comment section, one fan pulled from The Nanny theme song as they complimented, “She’s the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan!”
“You look fire Fran!!! Woowww you never fail to impress us,” commented another.
A third person wrote, “Fran Fine as wine,” as a fourth remarked, “Fran you look beautiful!”
A fifth commenter praised both Fran and her ex-husband as they stated, “Gorgeous people!!! Stunning!”
ACTOR’S STRIKE
Francine Joy Drescher was born on September 30, 1957, in Flushing, Queens, New York.
The American actress, comedian, writer, and activist is well-known for her starring role as Fran Fine in the popular TV sitcom, The Nanny.
She created and produced the television series with her then-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson.
Drescher is serving as the third president of Sag-Aftra.
On July 13, 2023, she delivered a speech at a press conference about the Sag-Aftra and WGA strikes in which she told the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) that “the jig is up.”
Fran told the crowd, “It’s really important that this negotiation be covered because the eyes of the world, and particularly the eyes of labor, are upon us.
“What happens here is important because what’s happening to us is happening across all fields of labor, when employers make Wall Street and greed their priority and they forget about the essential contributors that make the machine run.
“We have a problem and we are experiencing that right at this moment.
“This is a very seminal hour for us. I went in in earnest thinking that we would be able to avert a strike.
“The gravity of this move is not lost on me, or our negotiating committee, or our board members.
“It’s a very serious thing that impacts thousands, if not millions, of people all across this country and around the world — not only members of this union, but people who work in other industries.”
After decades of work in the entertainment industry, Fran has garnered a large social media following.
The entertainer has over 1 million followers on her Instagram.
On September 27, 2023, the Actor’s Guild and the AMPTP reached a deal; the strike was over the same day.
HAPPILY DIVORCED
Fran’s ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobson was born in New York City on October 27, 1957.
He is an American television writer, producer, director, and actor who is well-known as The Nanny’s showrunner.
Peter was married to Fran, his high school sweetheart, from 1978 to 1999.
According to People, he told Fran that he was gay two years following the end of their marriage.
Despite their split, the pair continue to have a close friendship, although it was initially a struggle.
In 2011, Fran told the publication, “I thought, ‘Did he know he was gay when I was walking down the aisle?’
“When we had a fight in high school and he said, ‘I love you but I’m not in love with you?’ This made me wonder what we ever really know.”
She continued, “Our love is all-enduring and unconditional. All those years weren’t for nothing.”
The actress told Fox News in 2019: “He came out as gay.
“So he’s officially my gay ex-husband. We met when we were 15. We created The Nanny. That became my baby.
“We were excellent writing and producing partners. And we’re now the best of friends. My parents still view him as a son.”
