This is the shocking moment a girl is whipped by teachers in front of her father at a Nigerian Islamic school after he requested the beating because she had been caught drinking alcohol.
The clip, which has been widely circulated online, shows four men armed with what appear to be stick-like objects surrounding the young girl who is kneeling on the floor.

The father of the student told BBC Pidgen he had approved the whippings after becoming upset when he saw a video of his daughter allegedly drinking alcohol.
He said: ‘I informed the school about the incident and I personally requested them to give her the appropriate punishment, and I insisted I should be present when they carried it out.’
The girl was reportedly one of four male and female students caught drinking alcohol at a birthday party, which they denied.
A second video was shared online which showed a young boy also being beaten in connection to the same incident.

The videos sparked outrage after it was widely shared online with people calling for action to be taken against the school.
Local media reports that the head of the school in the Kwara state of Nigeria has been suspended while the students have been given medical treatment.
The school reportedly defended the punishment, saying they had her parent’s permission
The school has defended the punishments, which were meted out by other students at the school’s request, as they say they had parental approval, according to the BBC.
The school also said the punishment was in line with Islamic law.
In a statement, the local government said an investigation has been launched and would be overseen by a panel ‘comprising of Muslim scholars, leaders and government officials’.
The statement added: ‘Regardless of the explanations of the authorities on the development, the self-confessed consent of the parents and regret of the affected students, the government seriously frowns at the harsh beating seen in the footage.’
