GWEN Stefani and Blake Shelton’s “love is real” and they are “so good together,” their friend has revealed.
Gwen’s hairstylist Suzette Boozer exclusively told The U.S. Sun that the couple has a “thick skin” amid the rumors that they are battling marriage issues.
Suzette spoke about how Gwen and Blake are “tight” and “in love” at the 11th Make-up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) Awards in Beverly Hills.
“They’re so good together. I mean, they have a new song together. It’s a beautiful song together,” she said.
Suzette said Gwen has been blocking out the negativity amid speculation that she and Blake’s relationship is on the rocks.
“At the end of the day, you got to kind of ignore what you know is negative and it’s just not true,” she said.
“You stay focused on what you are planning on doing. But it is very hard. Yes, you have to have thick skin.
“And she’s been in the business for a long time, so she does understand.”
In December, Gwen’s fans noticed that she appeared to be featuring Blake less on her Instagram account.
“What happened to all the videos of you and Blake?” one asked.
“I haven’t seen them either!” a second agreed.
And after the couple spent New Year’s apart, fans began to speculate that the two were headed for a split.
Recently, sources claimed they were feeling “frustrated” as they’ve been “spending a lot of time apart.”
“They’ve been spending a lot of time away from each other the past several months,” a source recently told Life & Style.
“It’s been frustrating. Their relationship of late has been a lot of texting and talking on the phone.”
DRIFTING APART?
The insider added, “Gwen and Blake used to be inseparable, but that’s changed. Everyone loves them together, so hopefully this is just a temporary thing.”
Gwen’s stylist Suzanne – who was nominated in two categories at the MUAHS – also recalled how Gwen and Blake sent over heartfelt videos of support as she dealt with the loss of her mother.
“When I was losing my mom for the holidays, they would literally send me personal videos of them singing songs during the holidays together on a sofa,” she recalled.
“They were in no makeup, no hair on their the sofa, just like, ‘Hey, Suzette, Merry Christmas. We just wanted to send you our greetings.’
“And it was so personal to me so that when people do ask me I’m always like, ‘You don’t even understand how great they are together.’
“It was a beautiful thing. My mom did pass and they supported me through that.”
