GWEN Stefani has revealed the belongings that she carries in her bag for her husband Blake Shelton as she prepares for her upcoming Superbowl appearance.
The pop star will be appearing on the official NFL TikTok account for a “50-minute set” of “uptempo songs” ahead of the big game.
Gwen, 54, prepared for the weekend on Thursday by sharing the contents of her bag with fans.
The Voice US star posted a video made in collaboration with TikTok where she dug through a large stripped tote and explained the reason behind her belongings.
The mother of three had on full glam makeup and her blonde hair styled into beachy waves.
Gwen covered up in a large sports jacket with the number 13 on the lapel as she spoke to her fandom.
“Hey guys, it’s almost game time,” she began.
“Let’s do a quick ‘what’s in my bag,'” the TV star continued, as words popped up on the screen, asking, “What’s in Gwen’s bag?”
The singer first whipped out a tube of lip gloss from her brand GXVE.
Secondly, she pulled out mascara and blush from the beauty line, saying, “Look at this cute thing!”
Gwen revealed a smaller bag inside of the large one and asked rhetorically, “Do I really carry around a glam light just in case I need to do a selfie?”
“Maybe I do,” she answered, as she put on a pair of massive black sunglasses.
“L.A.M.B. shades,” the pop star explained, promoting her own brand of eyewear.
Next, Gwen pulled out a packet of chewing gum which she revealed was “Blake’s gum.”
She continued, “This is in case I decide I want to sing a song. Always!” as she pulled out a pair of clear-colored headphones.
“Thanks for coming and seeing what’s in my bag on game day!” the No Doubt singer gushed.
She teased her forthcoming performance in the caption, writing, “It’s almost time check out what’s in my bag for the big game gx @NFL @TikTok #TikTokTailgate #NFL.”
Gwen’s post might be a clue that her husband Blake Shelton, 47, will be joining her for her upcoming Superbowl performance.
FITTING THE MOLD?
But the couple’s relationship has been under major fan scrutiny as many believe they are on the rocks.
Earlier this week, the blonde was accused of forcing her spouse into liking a genre he isn’t usually accustomed to.
The celebrity couple released their highly-anticipated duet, Purple Irises, on Friday.
Gwen and Blake shared their collaboration at midnight and almost immediately, fans noted the song sounds more alternative, which is Gwen’s specialty.
FAN OPINIONS
After Blake posted the single on his Instagram, some of his followers called him out for curtailing to her style.
“I really miss the old Blake Shelton. He used to be bad a**!” one person lamented, adding, “Now he sings about flowers.”
“Outdoors, guns .. trucks!! You got it!! Where did he go??” another agreed.
“This seems too forced,” A third noted.
“Just doesn’t seem like him at all.”
“The tempo is more suited for Gwen’s voice,” said another.
HIDDEN MEANING?
Beyond their tone, fans dissected what the lyrics of the new song may mean – especially in light of rumors of the former The Voice co-stars rumored marriage troubles.
A new video clip shared online examined some of the lyrics – and possible hidden context – to the song.
Gwen posted a clip showing her and Blake recording a portion of the song in the studio.
Each took turns singing,”But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you/Don’t know what I’d do, don’t wanna lose you.
“If someone comes along and tries to take you, tries to make you/Don’t let ’em change your mind.
“Wonder why you took a risk/On a broken heart you cannot fix.
“No, I never knew a love like this./ Now I’m picking purple irises.”
Lyrics that specifically reference not wanting to lose someone and talk of broken hearts have raised red flags of a deeper meaning.
