When it comes to combating the dreaded hair loss condition, potato juice could be one of the most inexpensive and natural ways to stimulate hair growth. As compared to store-bought hair products, which may contain chemicals that can be harmful for hair in the longer run, using potato juice is a completely natural remedy that works for most people. Potato juice consists of various essential vitamins that increase oxygen levels, which work to repair and restore collagen. Collagen is the protein found in the skin and other connective tissues. An improved collagen can then help better growth of hair.
Collagen is the building block of hair and this protein is very essential to ensure faster hair regrowth.
Potato juice also helps in making the growth of hair follicles better.
It prevents hair thinning and the starch present in the vegetable ensures nourishment of follicles.
The compounds present in potatoes bind with oxygen to strengthen the hair strands, thus preventing hair loss.
Regular use of this juice over a period of time will ensure well-nourished, shinier and longer hair.

“In this review we summarize the role of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, iron, selenium, and zinc, in non-scarring alopecia.
“Vitamin C plays an essential role in the intestinal absorption of iron due to its chelating and reducing effect, assisting iron mobilization and intestinal absorption.
“Therefore, vitamin C intake is important in patients with hair loss associated with iron deficiency.
“Humans are naturally deficient in an enzyme called l-gulonolactone oxidase that is required for vitamin C synthesis and should therefore take vitamin C through their diet.
“Citrus fruits, potatoes, tomatoes and green peppers have particularly high concentrations of vitamin C.”
