Wikipedia is yet to feature Journalist Hamza Syed.

He is the co-host of the podcast series The Trojan Horse Affair. Apart from that, there isn’t much about him online, including his educational qualifications, parents, and family. Reports do say that he previously worked as a doctor.

According to Muckrack, Hamza contributed to The Islamic Monthly (TIM) three times in 2017.

Regardless, he is well-known for his work on the narrative podcast from Serial Productions and The New York Times, The Trojan Horse Affair, along with Brian Reed, known for S-Town. All episodes of the series premiered on 3 February 2022.

Sarah Koenig edited the investigative series, while Hamza, Brian, and Rebecca Laks produced it. Moreover, Thomas Mellor wrote the original score.

It is all about investigating a strange letter that caused panic all over Britain in late 2013. It was a confidential communique between Islamic extremists on infiltrating Brimmingham’s city schools. Reportedly, the code name of the plot was Operation Trojan Horse.

Reportedly, that message caused a crackdown on Muslim educators and new counterterrorism measures. However, it all turned out to be a hoax.

Nevertheless, Syed was doubtful about it and hence decided to work on the letter as his first story when he went to college for investigative journalism. He and Brian discovered a lot about the Trojan Horse letter.
