Get excited: It’s almost time for the annual SELF Healthy Beauty Awards! Over the next number of months, our editors and judges will test new beauty products for skin, hair, and body, along with makeup and oral-care products, to find the very best of the best. After a year filled with highs and lows, we can’t wait to share the items that help us look good and feel great, no matter the circumstances.
As with our past Healthy Beauty Awards, products will be judged based on a set of criteria determined by a board of dermatologists and dentists. Ultimately, our goal is to share the best new products that are genuinely helpful to have and delightful to use.

Below, find everything that brands who would like to submit need to know.
If you are a brand who would like to submit products for the 2022 SELF Healthy Beauty Awards, please follow these submission guidelines:
- Qualified submissions include new products and existing products with new formulations that launched or will launch between June 2021 and July 2022. (Products available for preorder online as of July 1, 2022 are eligible.)
- Please submit no more than 7 products per brand.
- Please email submissions to [email protected]. For publicists who represent multiple brands, please submit a separate email for each brand’s submission. (One email = one brand submission. Multiple products from the same brand can be included in the same email.)
Each product submission should include:
- A press release or info sheet about the product(s). Please include the launch date for the product. If the submission is an existing product with a new formulation, let us know what’s been updated.
- The category where this product best fits. (All categories are listed below.)
- The ingredients list for the product. A photo of the ingredients panel on the product or product box is fine, as long as all ingredients are clearly visible.
- High-res photos of the product, white background preferred. If using a file-sharing service, please be sure that access to images does not expire.
