What Is High Cholesterol?

High cholesterol is a serious health condition in which the cholesterol levels get too high, triggering major heart diseases. Cholesterol is a waxy substance that is required by the body to make cells and produce important hormones. However, too much of this in the blood can lead to congestion in the arteries (deposition of fat in the artery walls), making it difficult for the heart to function properly. Scroll down to know how the body behaves when cholesterol levels get out of control. Remember to never ignore these signs.
