Isometrics is a type of exercise that involves the contraction of muscles without movement for long periods. This strengthens the muscles and supports endurance without straining or causing damage. Medical News Today says that isometric exercises activate multiple muscle fibers simultaneously and may reduce back pain.

In a previous interview with Lifetime, she said, “With isometrics, you’re isolating and engaging the stomach muscles to strengthen them. It has given me really strong stomach muscles, and I have a longer, leaner look than before.”

The British actress took to Instagram in a video clip to document her wellness journey, captioning, “Back in the gym after all my travels!” The video revealed the 71-year-old actress working out her abs, hips, and spine using the Gyrotonic Method. This system of exercises incorporates movements of yoga, pilates, gymnastics, swimming, dance, and t’ai chi. Phew!

Seymour’s trainer, Jeeny Miller, posted an Insta video clip of the actress’ workout. The caption read, “The beauty of Gyrotonic is that strength, flexibility, and longevity come from slow, 3 dimensional, and controlled movements. This is beauty in motion.”

Wow! It’s no wonder the award-winning actress looks so lean!

The Live and Let Die actress posed for Playboy at age 67 and said in an interview with the magazine, “I feel much sexier now than I ever did when I was younger…I’m comfortable in my own skin.” She added, “I’m not trying to prove anything to anyone. When you’re younger, it’s all about ‘look at me.’ I’m not trying to get anyone to look at me.”

She said to Hello Magazine, “My intention is to age as gracefully as I can.” By the looks of it, she’s doing just fine. On a side note, Seymour proudly mentions that she doesn’t use wrinkle fillers of any kind.
