Beverley Callard has a huge thoughtful tattoo dedicated to her husband Jon McEwan which includes their names and anniversary date.

The Coronation Street star, 63, has been married to her beau since 2010, with her previously saying he’s ‘completely and utterly the love of my life’.

Her inking, which she got in 2016 following her battle with depression and suicide bids, includes two drama masks and a red love heart.

Scrawled through the heart are Beverley and Jon’s names, while the date of their union is inked below this.

Before tying the knot with Jon, Beverley was married to Steve Callard from 1989 until 2001, David Sowden from 1980 until 1988 and Paul Atkinson for three years from 1974 until 1977.

Jon also has a tattoo tribute for his wife – a knife and heart with her name in the middle- with them both sharing snaps of the art work on Twitter back in 2014.

Beverley’s touching tribute to her fourth husband came after he stayed by her side during her mental health struggles back in 2009 and 2016.

In 2009 Beverley spent two months in the Priory after she was overwhelmed by her late mum’s Alzheimer’s and the stress of debts of £150,000 from her pub with Jon.

Beverley ended up having 12 rounds of electric shock therapy and was unable to walk or speak after the procedure.

During this painful time, Jon stayed by Beverley’s side and even stopped two of her suicide attempts.

She told The Mirror at the time: ‘It wasn’t just the fact that Jon rumbled me to the nurses that saved me from ending it all.

‘It was much more than that. He stood by me, through everything. He never gave up on me, never gave up trying to understand my torment.’

She continued: ‘I am so in love, and so ecstatic to be engaged. Jon and I just fit. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him.

Beverley has also previously detailed how she was left suicidal after suffering severe depression in 2016.

The Corrie star was signed off from the soap for two months after the medication she’d been taking for 12-15 years was suddenly discontinued.

However, with the support of her husband Jon and four new types of medication, Beverley revealed she’s now doing much better, on This Morning.

The actress, who is now in the I’m A Celeb camp in Wales, has often spoken of her deep devotion for Jon.

Speaking to the Daily Record back in 2016 Beverley explained Jon had a terrifying health scare that saw him rushed to hospital after collapsing for six minutes.

She said: ‘Jon’s my rock. I see him as indestructible so when I was told he had collapsed, I just went numb. He is never ill. What happened came completely out of the blue.’

The actress explained: ‘I was on my way to A&E with my stepson Jonathan and I was begging, please God no, this cannot be.

‘I was incredibly frightened because I didn’t know what I’d do if something happened to him. He’s my soulmate and my best friend. He’s completely and utterly the love of my life.’
