Sam Pang has hinted at a return to hosting the TV Week Logie Awards next year.

The comedian, 49, made headlines for his hosting stint at this year’s ceremony after he savaged some of Australia’s biggest entertainment names on-stage.

In good news for fans, Sam suggested he could be back for a second round during Monday’s episode of Have You Been Paying Attention?, after he made an off-hand remark about next year’s event.

When quizzed on whether there was a chance he will return to host the Logies in 2024, Sam replied: ‘I am hoping to do it.’

Fellow panelist Marty Sheargold immediately joked that Pang had shared his plans too early, suggesting Channel 7 may be now turned off hiring him again.

‘Well, you just lost all your leverage, mate,’ Sheargold mused.

Backtracking, Pang replied: ‘I may not be doing it, who knows what will happen next year, you know what I mean?’

Channel Seven ‘s Logies telecast was a ratings blockbuster for the network back in July, drawing in an impressive 877,000 viewers.

Sam’s opening monologue included a dig at Married at First Sight, saying the controversial reality show is ‘a clear sign we’ll not make it a species’.

He also joked about commercial TV’s lack of diversity.

‘I’m the first host in the history of the Logies to be half and half – half Channel Seven, half Channel Ten.

Seven’s Logies broadcast was a major success for the network after they snatched up the broadcast rights from Channel Nine last year.
