James Martin will appear on his weekly ITV cooking show this morning at 9:25am. Fans will be reminded of the chef’s recent weight loss journey. How did he do it?

After Strictly, the chef continued to work out regularly and focused more carefully on his diet.

He started to reduce his intake of unhealthy fats and began to eat less butter.

This was despite still cooking with butter on his shows.

Speaking to Mail Online, the chef said: “It’s hard work because I’m a big bloke.

DON’T MISS:

“So I’ve really got to watch what I eat and drink, and make sure I exercise regularly.”

This year, James has been exercising regularly with his dog, taking to Instagram to post photos of the countryside where they go walking together.

Since 2005, James’ weight has fluctuated.

In 2018, he decided to lose weight again after noticing some fat regain.

Speaking to Mail Online, James added: “I just think it’s a lifestyle thing and also looking at yourself on TV.

“Before you used to watch TV on a small one and now they’re massive.”

As well as reportedly cutting down on some ingredients, James also incorporated a lot of fruit and vegetables into his diet.

One of the best diets for slimmers, which is not too different to the diet James followed, is the Mediterranean diet.

This involves eating vegetables, legumes, lentils, nuts, and fatty fish.
