  2. His older brother Kemeche L. Green sadly passed away when JaMychal was only 2 years old.
  3. He was on St. Jude Educational Institute’s basketball team and led them to the Class A State Championship in 2006 and 2008 of which he was crowned MVP of the 2006 series. During his high school basketball career, JaMychal boasted more than 2500 points. His success saw him get a place as a member of the National Honor Society.

Around about the same that JaMychal was in high school, he also won several awards which included the 2008 McDonald’s All-American, the 2008 Alabama Mr. Basketball, and also secured a place at the #6th and #1st spots as a power forward during the 2008 recruiting class according to a report by ESPN.
  5. He played for the USA National U18 Team in Argentina during the 2008 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship.
