From Struggles to Success, Jelly Roll’s Launches ‘Losers Run Club’ After Inspiring Transformation. Jelly Roll is achieving remarkable success following a significant weight loss journey, during which he has lost over 100 pounds in just a few months.
The country artist is inviting individuals interested in enhancing their fitness to join his running club, designed to assist those who may lack prior exercise experience.

His motivation for this initiative stemmed from Tom Segura and Bert Kreischer, the hosts of the 2 Bears, 1 Cave podcast, who organized the 2 Bears 5K run that took place in May 2024.
“I noticed that Bert and Tom Segura had hinted at doing a ‘5K by May,’” he mentioned in a social media video. “I realized immediately that if there was ever a setting where I would feel comfortable attempting my first 5K, it would be at the 2 Bears 5K.”
This decision followed his realization that his health was deteriorating due to his rising weight. “A little over a year ago, I genuinely struggled to walk down my hill to the mailbox,” he recounted to his audience.
“It was quite severe. I had allowed myself to reach a point where I was utterly disgusted with my condition. I was exhausted and fed up with it.”
The podcast hosts assisted him in preparing for the 5K run in May, which subsequently motivated him to support others in achieving their fitness aspirations and initiating their health journeys.
In the video, he announced the creation of a new group on Strava and Facebook called “Jelly Roll’s Losers Run Club,” aimed at encouraging more individuals to begin training in anticipation of the 2 Bears 5K event on May 4 in Florida.
“Our goal is to inspire change, belief, and community,” he stated. “We want to create a space where you can feel free from judgment while navigating this process.”
“I understand how challenging it was initially and how embarrassed I felt just trying to catch my breath every time I walked down the driveway,” he continued.
“However, it was incredibly uplifting to have friends and supporters encouraging me, affirming that I was on the right path.”
The 40-year-old expressed, “I truly believe we can make a significant impact right here. I think a group of people can unite at this moment and inspire one another to actually become what they’ve always dreamed of being.”
Jelly Roll mentioned that he once weighed 550 pounds and feels better than ever since starting his fitness journey.

He shared that his Beautifully Broken tour, which took place from August to November 2024, provided him the opportunity to concentrate on nutrition and exercise while stepping away from alcohol.
Completing the 5K in May 2024 was a major milestone for the “Wild Ones” singer, motivating Jelly Roll to continue his journey for the sake of others facing health challenges.
“I think the most amazing part was how many people approached us to say they were inspired by us, other larger individuals,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “It was just incredible to witness — such a diverse group of people. There was even a guy running in a bear suit.”
