JOSH Peck, the star of Nickelodeon’s early 2000s hit sitcom Drake & Josh, revealed he turned to plastic surgery after considering his future in Hollywood.
Josh Peck opened up about getting plastic surgery on his Good Guys podcast, which he hosts with influencer and Instagram personality Ben Soffer.
A listener asked Josh to discuss his laser eye surgery, which he had in 2023.
“You know, I like to keep these things private,” joked Josh.
Josh has notably spoken out about the procedure a few times over the last few months, sharing his results with listeners.
“But I guess I’ll share. Fine!” he added.
The actor revealed that he had a “lower-eyelid blepharoplasty.”
The procedure, commonly referred to as an eye-lift, removes excess skin from eyelids, giving eyes a younger, fresher, and more alert appearance.
In some cases, the blepharoplasty can even improve vision caused by sagging skin.
“It’s the best,” Peck said, referring to his surgery.
“It’s really easy. They go all inside your eye. No scar, little lift, little tuck.”
“I put it off for three years,” Josh said.
“I was shooting a show in 2020 called Turner and Hooch on Disney+. You haven’t seen it, and that’s your loss.”

The series was removed from Disney+ on May 26, 2023, as part of a larger cost-cutting initiative under Disney CEO Bob Iger.
“And at one point, the director of photography came up to me and just kind of nicely mentioned, he goes, ‘You know, you’re getting a little tough to light.'”
“He didn’t say it quite like that; he said it much more lovely and Canadian,” Josh added.
Josh said it wasn’t the first comment he had received about his under-eye bags.
“I started hearing from [the DP] and some of the producers, that like, they know I don’t drink,” Peck said.
Josh has remained sober since 2008 after struggling with a secret drug and alcohol addiction in his late teens and early 20s.
“They know that I have a kid, that I don’t live hard, that I’m not out like partying, and that, you know, the bags under my eyes are from nothing other than some crappy genetics.”
“It’s all from my dad’s side. So thanks for nothing, Dad! Couldn’t hang around, but left me your baggage, I see.”
Josh also said a “great actor” friend of his encouraged him to get the procedure after he went through with a similar operation.

“Shout-out a good friend of mine, who’s a great actor, whose name I won’t say because I don’t know if he publicly wants to be known as someone who got the surgery,” Peck said.
“He’s not as brave as me,” he added, chuckling.
“Shout-out someone who loves their name [being] said, John Stamos, my other friend, who was like, ‘George Clooney did it, Josh. Just f**king do it.'”
Josh wouldn’t name names, but while the actor remains a mystery, he did name-drop another major celebrity who told him to go through with plastic surgery.
“He was like, ‘You should’ve done it yesterday. What are you, nuts?'”
Josh also said his own podcast – which is also shot on video – encouraged him to get the work done.
“Seeing myself weekly was really hurting my feelings, and the comments were agreeing with my feelings,” Josh said.
After three years of deliberating whether he should go through with the surgery, Josh decided to move forward with the procedure in 2023.
“And you look amazing,” Ben Soffer said.
