On January 25, Justin Timberlake returned to the music sphere with his single “Selfish,” taken from his forthcoming studio album, “Everything I Thought It Was.” Backed by an R&B-pop production, the new single sees the “SexyBack” artist delivering heartwarming lyrics about being hopelessly in love. “Cause your lips were made for mine / And my heart would go flatline / If it wasn’t beatin’ for you all the time,” he sings, per Genius. Timberlake told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, “We’re talking about the song itself and just breaking down the idea that you just don’t hear that from men often, that they would express an emotions that makes them vulnerable.” While Timberlake’s return to music is romantic and honest, his rumored divorce from his wife, Jessica Biel, has cast a shadow over the release.

Earlier in January, a source told Life & Style that the “Trolls” star and “Candy” actor were headed to Splitsville. “Though they do love each other, all of the couples therapy they’ve undergone simply isn’t fixing some of their underlying issues,” the insider explained. They went on to reveal that Britney Spears’ book “The Woman in Me” also put a wrench in their marriage after the pop princess claimed that the “Suit & Tie” singer pressured her to get an abortion. “Britney’s book revelations brought up more of Jessica’s trust issues … The truth is, Jessica is tired of trying to get past things with Justin,” they added.
