Rosaline executive producer-star Kaitlyn Dever reunited with her co-star Minnie Driver for the premiere of Hulu’s Romeo & Juliet spin-off at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday.
The 52-year-old Oscar nominee plays Nurse to the 25-year-old Emmy nominee’s titular character, who’s the cousin of Juliet and the former flame of Romeo in Karen Maine’s PG-13 rom-com streaming October 14.
Though never seen in William Shakespeare’s 1597 tragedy, Rosaline’s rejection of Romeo (due to her being sworn to chastity) is what causes his depression and brings him to Juliet.
