While answering the door, a SWAT team pulled his brother Mohammed from the entryway, and his father Muhammed was apprehended by federal agents. The fighter’s father was charged with multiple counts of health care fraud, claiming that an ambulance company owned by him submitted false claims on purpose.

Later that month, in May 2010, he was convicted on 14 federal charges related to a healthcare fraud scheme, including healthcare fraud and money laundering.
