KANYE West has officially sold his crumbling Malibu mansion at a $36 million loss.
The rapper had dropped the price by almost $15 million after it wasn’t selling.
Prior to a buyer being found, the property sat on the market for around six months.
Ye bought the home in 2021, after which he infamously gutted and abandoned it.
The mansion was first listed for sale in December 2023.
However, until recently, it had been sitting in escrow, per The Hollywood Reporter.
Initially listed at $53million, Ye dropped the price to $39million back in April.
According to TMZ, he found a buyer for the home on July 30, 2024.
As seen in jarring photos obtained by the U.S. Sun, the unknown buyer purchased the once-concrete wonder in horrendous shape.
In one image, the property’s current condition showed two beer cans sitting on a ledge.
While another snap depicted two large, rusty pipes, likely used as plumbing, now disconnected.
Meanwhile, other exterior shot revealed empty cut-outs where a glass window would be.
As well as this, interior features such as bathrooms or a kitchen were also seemingly missing.
The exterior further showed the balconies covered in rust.
Visionary Japanese architect Tadao Ando, 83, designed the home.
The house became a notorious talking point following Ye’s decision to gut its interior, despite the painstaking design.
Kanye West’s homes
Kanye West owns multiple homes across California and Wyoming, two of which have fallen into disrepair.
Speaking to People, Selling Sunset star Jason Oppenheim shared how the home makes for a blank canvas opportunity.
He said: “What’s missing are the interiors.
“It’s priced to reflect the need for the interior finishes to be replaced.
“On the positive, it can be brought up to 2024 standards.”
