RAPPER Kash Doll has given an unbothered reply to Kendrick Lamar mentioning her in his new Drake diss.
On Friday, The To Pimp a Butterfly artist released the diss track 6:16 in LA where he alleged that there’s a mole in Drake’s OVO camp.
At about the two-minute mark of the song, Kendrick, 36, rapped, “Conspiracies about cash, dawg, that’s not even the leak/ Find the jewels like Kash Doll, I just need you to think.”
In Push Ups, Drake’s diss toward Kendrick, Future, Rick Ross, and several other celebrities, the First Person Shooter rapper suggested that The Weeknd’s manager Amir Esmailian, also known as Cash or Cash XO, was spending much of Blinding Lights singer’s money.
Kendrick moved the attention away from Cash XO and instead focused on For Everybody rapper Kash Doll – whose ex-boyfriend broke up with her because of a photo she took with Drake.
The “jewel” Kash Doll was also the victim of a burglary that saw $500k worth of jewels stolen from her home.
Kendrick continued, “Are you finally ready to play ‘Have you ever?’ let’s see/ Have you ever thought that OVO is working for me?”
The bar seemed to insinuate that Drake has a mole in his entourage who’s secretly working for the Swimming Pools rapper.
After the song dropped, Kash Doll seemed unfazed by the mention and responded to the lyrics by writing on X, formerly Twitter, “Ion kno i just kno my song came out at midnight thanks everyone go stream my s**t too!”
“I’m tryna understand the lyrics lol where the music lyric geniuses at….” she then tweeted.
This comes after Drake made a sly dig at Kendrick in response to his newly released diss track.
On Tuesday, the Humble rapper released his six-minute track, Euphoria, which directly jabbed at Drake, 37.
The One Dance singer appeared to clap back at Kendrick by uploading a short video clip to his Instagram Story.
The video showed actress Julia Stiles in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You as she listed things she hated about someone from a book.
“I hate the way you talk to me and they way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car, I hate it when you stare,” Julia listed.
Drake superimposed a winking face and a broken heart emoji over the video.
Fans thought this was a sly dig at Kendrick, as Julia’s dialogue seemed to emulate Kendrick’s lyrics in his diss-track.
A Drake fan uploaded his Story to X to make the comparison, writing, “Drake’s latest Instagram Story references these ‘Euphoria’ lyrics.”
“I’m the biggest hater / I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress / I hate the way that you sneak diss, if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct.”
The X account added a side-eye emoji as fans shared their thoughts on the playful diss response in the comment thread.
DRAKE & KENDRICK FEUD TIMELINE
On October 6, 2023, Drake and J. Cole released First Person Shooter, in which J. Cole claimed that himself, Drake, and Kendrick are the “big three” of hip-hop.
On March 22, 2024, Kendrick responded to the claim of a “big three” in his verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s song Like That, where he instead stated, “It’s just big me,” and accused both rappers of sneak dissing.
On April 5, 2024, J. Cole dropped his Kendrick diss track, 7 Minute Drill, in which he fired “warning shots” at the rapper as he accused the good kid, m.A.A.d city artist of seeking “attention” and slammed his latest music releases as “tragic.”
But on April 7, 2024, two days after releasing the Kendrick diss, J. Cole retracted his statement and backed out of the feud, as he stated he felt pressured to respond because “the world wanna see blood.”
On April 13, 2024, Drake responded to Kendrick with Push Ups, which had lyrics ridiculing Kendrick’s height and his mainstream collaborations with Taylor Swift and Maroon 5.
The track also dissed rappers Future and Rick Ross and producer Metro Boomin
On April 19, 2024, Drake dropped another diss track, Taylor Made Freestyle, that used AI-generated voices of Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur to pressure Kendrick to respond.
On April 30, 2024, Kendrick dropped Euphoria, a six-minute diss track, in which he criticized Drake’s biracial identity, questioned the rapper’s ability as a father, and claimed that Drake is a “scam artist.”
On May 1, 2024, Drake responded to Kendrick’s diss by posting a clip from the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You on his Instagram Story in which Julia Stiles’ character Kat lists the reasons she hates Heath Ledger’s character Patrick – mirroring a Euphoria bar where Lamar provides reasons he hates Drake.
On May 3, 2024, Kendrick dropped a second Drake diss track, 6:16 in LA in which Kendrick alleges Drake’s own team is working against him as he rapped, “Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it,” and stated Drake “can’t Toosie Slide up out of this one.”
Several followers left crying emojis, while others branded their beef “hilarious.”
Drake and Kendrick previously collaborated several times on hit songs such as Poetic Justice.
However, the two Grammy winners have been involved in beef which caused them to call each other out in their songs.
Although fans believe Drake and Kendrick Lamar have secretly been feuding for years, their beef escalated with the latter’s featured verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s song Like That.
CLAPPING BACK
On the abovementioned track, Kendrick referenced Drake’s single First Person Shooter and rapped, “Yeah, get up with me, f**k sneak dissing…
“First Person Shooter, I hope they came with three switches.
“Think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD…Motherf**k the Big three…n***a, it’s just big me.”
Kendrick also accused Drake of not being a good father to his son on Euphoria.
Aubrey Graham, known professionally as Drake, shares son Adonis, six, with French artist Sophie Brussaux.
“I got a son to raise but I can see you don’t know nothing ’bout that,” Kendrick raps on the track.
Kendrick shares a daughter Uzi and a son Enoch with his fiancee Whitney Alford.
Drake released two songs, Push Ups and Taylor Made Freestyle before Kendrick dropped his Euphoria track.
