KATHIE Lee Gifford has put on a brave face in public after having her hip replaced and suffering a nasty injury afterwards.
The former Today co-host, 70, was recently hospitalized due to a fall that she endured while she was recovering from recent hip replacement surgery.
But on Sunday, August 25, Kathie looked as glamorous as ever when she stepped out for a public event after enduring the fall and the pain that no doubt came with it.
Kathie Lee attended the REAGAN Nashville premiere at AMC DINE-IN Thoroughbred 20 in Franklin, Tennessee over the weekend, with her looking upbeat while in attendance.
In the snaps, Kathie Lee could be seen wearing a bardot-style off-the-shoulder blouse, with a pair of black trousers.
She accessorized with some peep-toe heels and wore her locks down and tousled.
Kathie Lee kept her makeup natural yet she looked lit from within thanks to a warm face base and a subtle smoky eye.
With a nude lip, Kathie Lee grinned for the camera and looked extremely happy while doing so, with her seemingly fully recovered from her nasty fall which she endured.
Kathie Lee fractured her pelvis in two places and was hospitalized for over a week and in need of physical therapy.
The injury came after she “moved 300 books” on her own while doing signings in Nashville, with her blaming herself for weakening her body.
Then, the next day her friend arrived at her home to pick her up, with Kathie Lee rushing to the door and tripping over in an accident that would result in a lot of pain.
“It didn’t take much, because I was weak in that spot,” Kathie Lee told People. “And the next thing you know, I am back in the hospital with a fractured pelvis, the front and the back.
“That’s more painful than anything I went through with the hip. The pelvis is unbelievably painful. But anyway, here I am.”
Kathie Lee previously spoke about her fall while appearing on Today as a guest, from the comfort of her own home.
She revealed that her hip replacement took place in early July and that she needed the surgery because her hips were “down to the nubs.”
HIP REPLACED
A hip replacement involves replacing damaged parts of the hip joint with metal, plastic or ceramic parts.
You are healed. It is a miracle.”

The surgery is usually done to treat pain and stiffness in the hip joint caused by osteoarthritis, with recovery time taking several months.
Meanwhile, a pelvic fracture is described as a break in one or more of the bones in your pelvis.
“Pelvic fractures are an uncommon type of fracture that can range from mild to severe. While mild pelvic fractures usually don’t require surgery, severe fractures have to be fixed with surgery,” explains the Cleveland Clinic.
PELVIS MIRACLE
Kathie Lee returned home from the hospital shortly after her pelvis injury following her fall and then was left healing for two weeks.
After she stayed at home and rested, she found that she was not experiencing any more pain.
“Shouldn’t I [still] be in a lot of pain?” she asked her doctor, she then told the Today hosts that her doctor replied, “Yes, you should. It’s only been two weeks.”
He then recommended she go to the hospital for another X-ray to check on her injury.
After the pelvis injury was scanned, the doctor revealed, “You are healed. It is a miracle.”
