KATY Perry is suffering low ticket sales for The Lifetimes tour as 70 percent of seats remain unsold in a Minneapolis arena.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that a slew of Katy’s tour dates in the United States appear to be selling abysmally.
The 40-year-old’s tour tickets went on sale on January 29 and while some of the venues in the bigger cities like New York City seemed to be selling more adequately for the former American Idol host, several stops in smaller locations are faring much worse.
One look at Ticketmaster‘s site for sales at Minneapolis’ Target Center shows a sea of blue dots denoting empty seats available for purchase in the arena.
The Minneapolis May 13 date is also fast approaching.
The Ball Arean in Denver Colorado, whose May 15 date is also around the corner, still looks pitifully empty.
At the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, the scene looks just as grim, with easily over 60% of tickets still available.
At the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, just a few sections have been fully sold, with the vast majority of upper-level seating open and available still, and a large portion of the lower level up for grabs as well.
Tickets for the Lifetimes Tour went on sale on January 28.
Katy Perry upset fans with her decision to work with Dr. Luke on her latest album, 143.
INSIDE THE 143 DRAMA
Kesha, Dr. Luke’s former artist, accused Dr. Luke of sexual misconduct in a lawsuit.
After a long, protracted court battle with lawsuits and countersuits, Dr. Luke and Kesha released a joint statement in 2023 announcing they had settled the matter privately ahead of trial.
In September Katy went on Call Her Daddy podcast and host Alex Cooper asked her point-blank about her decision to work with Dr. Luke despite the allegations against him, and fans were unimpressed by her response.
Alex asked the Fireworks singer: “I know a lot of people have expressed disappointment and were really upset that you decided to involve Dr. Luke on this album.”
Katy tried to wiggle her way out of a straight forward answer.
She told the podcast host that Dr. Luke was “one of many collaborators,” as she insisted the album came from her inspirations alone.
Katy told Alex: “The truth is I wrote these songs from my experience of my whole life going through this metamorphosis.”
Katy Perry’s Biggest Hits

Katy Perry has released seven studio albums, with her seventh, titled 143, set to debut on September 20, 2024.
The singer hasn’t enjoyed as much mainstream success in recent years as she did at the beginning of her career.
However, even the boldest critic can’t underscore her domination on the charts in the 2000s and 2010s.
Some of Katy’s most popular tracks include:
- I Kissed a Girl (2008)
- Hot n Cold (2008)
- Waking Up in Vegas (2009)
- California Gurls (2010)
- Teenage Dream (2010)
- Firework (2010)
- E.T. (2011)
- Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) (2011)
- The One That Got Away (2011)
- Part of Me (2012)
- Peacock (2012)
- Wide Awake (2012)
- Roar (2013)
- Dark Horse (2013)
- Unconditionally (2013)
- Birthday (2014)
- Rise (2016)
- Chained to the Rhythm (2017)
- Bon Appétit (2017)
- Swish Swish (featuring Nicki Minaj) (2017)
- Daisies (2020)
- Smile (2020)
- Woman’s World (2024)
The Dark Horse singer then revealed Dr. Luke was “one of the people to help facilitate” her transformation.
She then tried to explain Dr. Luke was just one person with whom she collaborated from her past.
“I am speaking from my own experience. Like when I speak about woman’s world, I speak about feeling so empowered now, as a mother, as a woman,” she said.
143 is Katy’s first album since her 2020 release, Smile.
It is also the first album since she gave birth to her daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, who she shares with her longtime fiance Orlando Bloom.
The pop star’s inability to provide a clear response had fans furious.
“So much was said…yet none of it justifies working [with] Dr. Luke,” one user wrote on X.
“So she basically didn’t answer the question,” a second user commented.
“She literally said she worked with him because she wanted to?? Oh yikes, at this point just don’t speak,” a third user shared.
