Season 2 of Love is Blind stars Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati have announced that they would be splitting up. Kyle revealed that he and Deepti are no longer in a relationship in an Instagram post after the publication of the three After The Altar episodes on Netflix. The Love Is Blind actor went on to say that he has now moved on and is now seeing someone else, the specifics of which he has chosen to keep confidential.

He also expressed gratitude to his fans and followers for their support during the duo’s journey and pledged to enjoy “every day in the present without any regret.”

The Love Is Blind star said in the post:

“I recognize that many of you are wondering where Deepti and I stand now. We had agreed to split up in early summer after filming After the Alter. I’ve since started a new relationship, which I wish to keep hidden for the time being.

A short glance at Kyle and Deepti’s Love Is Blind relationship

Kyle and Deepti were both casts for Love is Blind Season 2, which premiered in February 2022, and they quickly became friends on the program. Deepti accepted Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee’s proposal, while Kyle proposed to Shaina Hurley, however, neither pair made it down the aisle. While Deepti rejected Shake and chose to “choose herself,” Kyle and Shaina opted to split up even before they planned to marry. Kyle admitted during the program’s reunion on March 4, 2022, that his “greatest regret” from the show was not proposing to Deepti.

Deepti confessed to E! News the same month that Kyle was her No. 2 person in the pods and that she was torn between Shake and Kyle. The Love is Blind star, on the other hand, reflected on what might have occurred if she had chosen the latter and stated:

“Who knows, if I had chosen Kyle, what if we wouldn’t have worked out because we were being scrutinized? I believe we can now do things our own way. So we’ll see what happens.”

Kyle went out to PEOPLE about his reluctance to get into a serious relationship with Deepti. He remarked that if it didn’t work out, he would lose the relationship he so dearly treasured with his co-star and added:

“I’ve been in the scenario where you start dating your closest friend and then split up with them. You can’t actually see that person because it would be unfair to your future self. I wouldn’t want my current girlfriend to meet her ex-boyfriend. It’s not acceptable. That would not be acceptable to me.”

Both Loves is Blind stars teased their relationship status for months before making it public in an After the Altar episode. On September 16, 2022, Netflix released a three-part mini-series. Throughout the three episodes, Kyle and Deepti considered starting a relationship but were afraid of the consequences if it didn’t work out later.

“I am really concerned about you. I adore you, and any issues you are experiencing seem like my own. If anything goes wrong—even if your tire went flat—I felt like it was my issue. I will assist you and take care of everything for you since I really care about you.”

Two additional Love is Blind Season 2 couples, Danielle Ruhl-Nick Thompson and Iyanna McNeely-Jarette Jones, have also declared the termination of their marriages. Just over a year after they married on the Netflix program, the pair announced their divorce. As of now, none of the show’s couples are together. Love is Blind Season 3 has already begun filming, according to the show’s creator, Chris Coelen, and will be published on October 19, 2022. The program has been renewed for two more seasons.
