Paying tribute to his death, Chris Mitchell wrote on Twitter, “Got some terrible news! Lamar Patterson Dam lil dawg not you man.”
“Prayers out to his family, close friends, mentors, coaches and to everyone who knew him! Lord please protect our youth! RIP,” The coach added.
Several reports confirm that he got in a nasty car accident but there are no details about the crash. A 3-star recruit, Patterson had offers from several colleges already. It is a tragedy that he is gone.
