As the premiere date of Hulu’s Mike approaches, there has been renewed interest in cast members such as Trevante Rhodes, Harvey Keitel, and Laura Harrier, who all play pivotal parts in the Mike Tyson biography. Mike’s ensemble seems to be stacked with star power, and Laura Harrier’s inclusion is another step in the right way. Since she was 17, the American actress and model have become a sensation. She was born on March 28, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Evanston, Illinois, where she attended Evanston Township High School.
Her interest in performing started when her mother enrolled her in acting courses when she was a child. She had a speech impairment as a youngster, which caused her to have low self-esteem, and acting lessons helped her overcome this. Despite her involvement in theater and theatre, she grew interested in fashion throughout high school. When she was 17, she started modeling and relocated to New York City to study art history at the New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
Her modeling career was a huge success, and she was represented by prominent names like IMG Models, Wilhelmina Models, and Elite Model Management. She began acting in commercials and student films after becoming dissatisfied with simply performing modeling jobs. Laura Harrier studied acting at the William Esper Studio for two years.
Laura Harrier got her big start on the soap drama One Life to Live (2013). Harrier made her cinematic debut with The Last Five Years after a few cameo appearances (2014). Following this, she rose to international prominence in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) as Liz Allan, Peter’s high school love interest. She was also a key player in the highly acclaimed film BlacKkKlansman (2018).
She has also contributed to films such as Balance, Not Symmetry, The Starling, and Spider-Man: No Way Home (cameo). She will now play Robin Givens in the new Hulu program, and her character appears quite interesting in the teaser. Mike will air on Hulu on August 25, 2022.
