Lisa Riley lost an amazing 12 stone after overhauling her diet and exercise routine, slimming down from a size 28 to a size 12.
The 47-year-old from Bury originally lost 11 stone and then lost a further stone after she had surgery to remove her excess skin.
Lisa has previously shared the diet and exercise regimes she followed to lose so much weight.
The soap actress was on the British dance contest show Strictly Come Dancing in 2012 which helped kickstart her weight loss journey.
The Emmerdale star said the competition helped restart her metabolism and helped her start losing weight.
She said on Loose Women in 2016 that she started seeing a real difference when she was dancing for seven hours a day and eating soup.
“It’s hard for me to see my reflection now,” she said. “I used to have a shelf from here to here and where’s that gone? It is insane. I looked so different before. I was happy before but now I am happy and proud. I needed to do it though. Who knows though. People can yo-yo diet.”
Lisa, who is also a vegetarian, also revealed that she eats smaller portions but doesn’t “believe in fad diets”.
She also said she has cut out two key foods to stay in shape. She added: “I don’t believe in fad diets, even though I have tried them before. I have no food after 6.30pm. I only eat a carb if I need one and absolutely no bread or booze.”
Lisa cut out bread and alcohol and goes to Zumba classes to stay fit. She also said she decided to give up alcohol altogether after cutting it out in 2015 to support her friends who were pregnant at the time.
Lisa told The Mirror at the time: “I realised there were lots of empty calories in booze so that is why I gave it up. If you add up through the week what I’d consume in alcohol calories it was mad.
“All my girlfriends gave up booze for nine months while they were pregnant, so I thought I’d do nine months, but it’s nearly a year now and I don’t even want a drink.”
After losing an impressive 11 stone, Lisa lost a further stone after having excess skin removal surgery in 2017.
She told The Mirror in 2020: “People forget how gigantic I was. With the skin removal, I lost twelve stone, one pound.
“The surgeon chopped off one stone, four pounds. Since then my weight has more or less stayed the same.”
