MADONNA has broken her silence with a touching tribute after the death of her brother Christopher Ciccone.
The music icon posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram alongside a number of pictures of the siblings smiling together throughout the years.
Christopher died on October 4, aged 63, after a battle with cancer with touching tributes pouring in since it was announced.
Madonna, 66, has spoken on her brother’s tragic death for the first time tonight after she posted a collection of 16 posts online followed by a lengthy message.
The Vogue star told her 19.8 million followers that “there will never be anyone like him” as she said she was glad Christopher was no longer in pain.
The first part of the heartfelt caption read: “My brother Christopher is gone. He was the closest human to me for so long.
“Its hard to explain our bond but it grew out of an understanding that we were different and society was going to give us a hard time for not following the status quo.
“We took each other‘s hands and we danced through the madness of our childhood.
“In fact dance was a kind of superglue that held us together.”
Madonna also spoke on all the good times the pair had spent together since they were young.
While also commenting on how important Christopher was throughout her incredible career.
The younger sibling started his career as Madonna’s assistant, dresser, stylist and artistic director.
I’m glad he’s not suffering anymore. There will never be anyone like him

The post continued: “We went to funerals and we cried, and we went dancing.
“We danced together on stage in the beginning of my career and eventually, he became the Creative Director, of many tours.
“When it came to good taste, my brother was the Pope, and you had to kiss the ring to get his blessing.”
Alongside the various images of the smiling siblings together, a number of private memories were shared by Madonna.
Snaps of the pair together at various events throughout the years were posted.
With one snap of a painting shown as well as a tattoo.
Christopher passed away peacefully surrounded by his husband Ray Thacker and their loved ones in Michigan.
He has left behind Ray and his siblings including the Queen of Pop, Martin, Paula, Melanie, Jennifer and Mario.
His death comes just weeks after his and Madonna’s stepmother, Joan Clare Ciccone, died on September 24 after also battling with cancer.
Christopher worked closely with his sister throughout the star’s career, but they experienced a fall-out in 2008 after Christopher’s tell-all book “Life with My Sister Madonna” was released.
The book included a number of bombshells about the Like a Virgin singer such as details about her private life with ex-husband Sean Penn.
Like their other brothers, Christopher too struggled with alcohol and drug abuse with Madonna even paying for some of his rehab.
In 2003 she dropped him as her tour director.
Despite the public fall out, Madonna still said she “admired him” and appreciated his “sharp tongue” regardless of their past relationship.
The pair remained distant for some time but Madonna did reveal that they were in constant contact in the years before his death.
She ended the touching tribute by saying: “The last few years have not been easy. We did not speak for sometime but when my brother got sick we found our way back to each other.
“I did my best to keep him alive as long as possible. He was in so much pain towards the end.
“Once again, we held hands We closed our eyes and we danced together.
“I’m glad he’s not suffering anymore. There will never be anyone like him.
“I know he’s dancing somewhere.”
