A man allegedly fell off the boat he was driving while three times over the legal alcohol limit while on a video chat with his family.
Police responded to reports a man, 26, fell off the side of his ‘aluminum runabout’ in Brisbane Water off Koolewong, 88km north of Sydney, about 5pm on Wednesday.
The man fell overboard while he was on a video call with his concerned family.

With help from another boatie, police boarded the man’s vessel and began a ‘large water search’ to find him.

He was later found adrift in the water off Point Clare, about 4km north of Koolewong.
The man had breath tests and was found to be well over the legal alcohol limit.
He was arrested and taken to Woy Woy Police Station where a breath analysis allegedly returned a reading of 0.168.
He was charged with operating a vessel while drunk and will face Gosford Local Court on April 7.
