Married At First Sight star Ryan Gallagher has revealed why he has decided to quit alcohol.
The 33-year-old told The Daily Telegraph, he vowed to stay sober earlier this year because drinking began to affect his relationships and life.
‘I’m totally done, I’ll never drink again. I probably lost the love of my life because of alcohol and gambling when I was younger and very silly,’ he said.

Ryan continued: ‘Alcohol definitely wasn’t good for me anxiety-wise, I’ve suffered from anxiety my whole life.’
He also revealed how alcoholism plagued his family.
‘My dad’s an alcoholic … I don’t want to be that dad that I had who was just drunk all the time and you didn’t know what you were coming home to,’ Ryan said.
‘It wasn’t a healthy environment and I definitely don’t want that for my future kids,’ he added.

Last month, Ryan shared his online dating nightmare after being catfished on Tinder for two months.
He revealed how a female Tinder user had stolen another woman’s photos in order to deceive him.
The tradesman laughed off the deception on Instagram, but said he still wanted to speak to the real woman whose photos were used.

‘I’m now 99 per cent sure that she’s catfished me. It’s not the real girl in the photo, which is quite funny. You can laugh, it’s fine,’ he said.
Ryan then asked his 240,000 followers to help him find the woman whose photos were used in the catfisher’s Tinder profile.
Moving on from the incident, Ryan said he would ‘keep on looking’ for Mrs Right.
‘It wasn’t a healthy environment and I definitely don’t want that for my future kids,’ he said
