McDonald’s customers are being given the power to choose which deals they would like to see rolled out across stores this week.

The chain is celebrating the easing of Covid-19 restrictions by unveiling a new discount or deal every day until Tuesday 27 July.

But instead of simply announcing the deals, the fast food chain is inviting customers to vote on which ones they would like to see introduced.

Each day customers using the My McDonald’s app will be given the choice of two deals or discounts that could be brought in the following day.

Today customers can choose between the 99p Filet-O-Fish vs 99p McChicken Sandwich.

At the end of the day the votes are tallied up and the winner is announced at 11am the following day.

Customers can then shop the winning deal or discount.

Earlier this month it was reveled that McDonald’s would give NHS employees 20 per cent off the entire menu as a gesture of thanks for everything they’ve done throughout the pandemic – starting on Freedom Day, Monday July 19.

The offer is also exclusively available on the My McDonald’s App, which can be downloaded on iTunes and Android, it’s only available to walk-in customers and not via delivery services such as Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

The discount can be used once per week by an eligible customer as a ‘small token of thanks’  and to honour the contribution of frontline workers during the pandemic.

Anyone that had signed up for the app with an NHS email address will be able to access the offer.

People who sign up in the future with an NHS email address will also be able to access the discount.

Restaurants are open for walk-in, takeaway, and customers can order via the Drive-thru, McDelivery and Click & Serve using the My McDonald’s App.
