MIA Goth has been accused of kicking a man in the head on the set of her movie MaXXXine.
Mia, 30, stars in the A24 movie, which is a sequel to the movies X and Pearl, which were both released in 2022.
MaXXXine will be released in 2024, but it was filmed in 2023.
On Friday, a background actor – Hunter- sued Mia for allegedly intentionally kicking him in the head last April, in court docs seen by TMZ.
In the Lawsuit, he stated that he appeared in the role of Dead Parishioner.
His job was to lie on the ground for several hours while covered in fake blood and “enduring ants and mosquitoes.”
During the scene, Mia had to run past the actor and step over him.
The lawsuit claims that on the fourth take, Mia almost stepped on him.
Hunter shared his complaint with the second assistant director who then relayed the concern to Mia.
AFTER SHARING CONCERNS
On the fifth take, Mia allegedly intentionally kicked Hunter in the head with her boot.
After the scene was over, he claimed that Mia “taunted, mocked, and belittled” him while he was in the bathroom and dared him to do anything about the alleged kick.
In addition to the kick, Hunter said he felt pain in his head and felt pain while removing the fake blood that had dried onto him.
While driving home, he felt lightheaded and needed to pull over twice.
Doctors later told him he had a concussion.
Although his role was supposed to be on set for three days, he was informed that production didn’t want him back for the final two days, according to the lawsuit.
Hunter is suing Mia for alleged battery and there is an additional wrongful termination suit against A24, Mia, and director Ti West.
The U.S. Sun has contacted Mia’s rep about the alleged incident.
MIXED REACTIONS
On X, formerly known as Twitter, users were quick to call out the notable star.
“This is so disgusting if true. She should do better, and should’ve been charged with assault,” one person said.
“Wow, this is messed up if true,” another critic shared as one added: “She’s over!”
A fan reacted: “I really liked Mia Goth but this is upsetting & disheartening, man. I hope the actor gets proper compensation & he’s doing well.
“She needs genuine help if this is true.”
However, some were happy to support the actress: “We will be supporting Mia during these troubling times.”
“Taunted, mocked, and belittled in the bathroom?!?!? I do not believe that at all,” wrote another fan.
“In her defense, she was playing her character Maxine,” said a third.
Other users weren’t so quick to take sides: “We really don’t know these celebrities personally so I’m not going to say he’s lying.”
More users believed Hunter and slammed Mia: “The replies and quotes are showing a crazy double standard because if it was a man, you would all be taking this way more seriously.”
Mia is married to actor Shia LaBeouf, and she’s been in several horror movies, the romantic comedy Emma, and the upcoming Marvel movie Blade.
