He has been a member of the South Korean boy band Big Bang. In December 2017, their respective agencies confirmed that the couple was engaged and planned to marry in February 2018. On February 3, 2018, Min Hyo-rin and Taeyang got married in a private church ceremony officiated by actor Ki Tae-young.
