A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Trina Hunt of Port Moody, British Columbia, according to the RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
No charges have been filed, according to an emailed statement from IHIT, so the man’s identity will not be revealed. Many suspects and neighbors, however, have reported that the arrested man is her husband.

According to neighbors and another individual familiar with the case, Trina Hunt husband Iain Hunt, was detained on Friday afternoon.
Iain reported his wife’s missing from her home in the city’s Heritage Mountain neighborhood on Jan. 18, 2021.
Her disappearance sparked a months-long search that involved hundreds of individuals and was coordinated via social media.
Over two months later, her bones were discovered south of Silver Creek in Hope, B.C. The matter was handed over to the RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
According to threads posted on Reddit, Iain was not even on the court list this morning. At the same time, some claim that he is not even in police custody.

One of the users wrote, “extremely disappointing, definitely worried about arresting someone, but not charging or announcing the name.”
Furthermore, he added, “likely they interrogated him all weekend see if he would break, obviously he didn’t through lawyer advise & they cannot hold him for more than three days, they have to release him.
Has Trina Hunt Murder Suspect Identified On Reddit?
It’s difficult to say if Trina Hunt murderer has been identified on Reddit. However, the social media debate looks disappointing after the authorities could not keep Iain in custody.
Police returned to the couple’s home on Friday afternoon and arrested a man, but they did not name him or confirm whether any charges were implied.
More information will be released Saturday or later in the weekend, according to IHIT, because no charges have been filed.
Hunt couldn’t be reached by phone during the detox since her husband had told the family they were going to a campground in Hope on the weekend of Jan. 15, 2021.
RCMP issued search warrants at Hunt’s home in Port Moody and Iain’s parents’ home in Mission in June 2021, but no arrests were made.
Hunt’s family made an emotional plea for help in her case, offering a $50,000 prize for information leading to an arrest.
